By Mary Oliver
You do not have to be good.
You do not have to walk on your knees
for a hundred miles through the desert, repenting.
You only have to let the soft animal of your body
love what it loves.
Tell me about despair, yours, and I will tell you mine.
Meanwhile the world goes on.
Meanwhile the sun and the clear pebbles of the rain
are moving across the landscapes,
over the prairies and the deep trees,
the mountains and the rivers.
Meanwhile the wild geese, high in the clean blue air,
are heading home again.
Whoever you are, no matter how lonely,
the world offers itself to your imagination,
calls to you like the wild geese, harsh and exciting —
over and over announcing your place
in the family of things.

Playlist: Ellen Page Is Gay
I don’t know if you’ve heard or not, but Ellen Page is gay, you guys. I know, take a second to…
"I was running for the Long Island Railroad when I was eighteen years old, and tripped and fell between the tracks just as the train was starting to move. Everything below the knee got shattered and had to be amputated. The funny thing is— I’d been spending all my time worrying about being drafted to Vietnam. I learned at an early age that the bad things that happen to you are rarely the ones that you’re worrying about."
I can only hope that I always have these 3 people in my life.
Getting ready for the day in pink.
The colour pink is many times dismissed by those of us who have a more masculine style. Pink is for girls… that’s what they say, and we buy it.
The thing about pink is that it can brighten your outfit on a darker day and make a statement when it comes to your style. It may be a brave choice…I always get the comment ‘In pink today Alexa!?´ But the truth is, no one is indifferent to a bit of pink in a queer attire.
It’s vain thursday. That’s a thing- isn’t it?
It’s like a selfie taken from far away and not by me.
The shirt is from the boy’s section at Target and it was really cheap. The tie is from American Apparel. If you’re a more petite lady with a masculine aesthetic, I highly recommend the boy’s section for shirts. You can have the masculine cut with a size that’s right for you. The only problem is the sleeves are sometimes too short, so in this case I rolled them up.
